'The Heriot Window'
Heriot-Watt University,Edinburgh.
2m x 2m
The upwards and outwards arrows in the design symbolise the growth and expansion of Heriot-Watt University as an important seat of learning in the UK. The roundels in the design contain symbols which represent the faculties of engineering, architecture, physics and economics. The design also mirrors elements from the architecture of the building: rows of clear glass lenses in the window follow through from the 'runway' of sunken lights which lead you to the entrance.
