'The Meston Memorial Window'

The design draws its inspiration from the paintings of the patron, the late Miss Meta Meston. She was a respected local artist and primarily a landscape painter who captured the countryside of the Mearns in all its splendour ~ rolling hills, ploughed fields of rich red clay and golden harvests. She particularly loved to paint trees and I chose this as the focal point of the design. It combines with local views in a design which symbolises the earth and its riches, as celebrated in Psalm 65:9, "You care for the earth and make it fruitful".
